Does this sound familiar?
You went to the GP. The bloods came back fine. Maybe you tried HRT, or are weighing it up.
Maybe it has helped a little, but not enough.
You are seeing a physio for the shoulder. You mentioned the brain fog to a friend who said “welcome to menopause!” and moved on.
You have digestive issues you never used to have. You wake at 3am with your mind already racing. An anxiety you do not quite recognise has started arriving uninvited.
Your hair. Your skin. Your digestion. Your energy. Your mood.
You just don't feel like yourself.
So you keep trying.
A therapist for the anxiety, magnesium for the sleep, a nutritionist someone recommended.
Each one treats their piece of it.
Nobody has looked at all of it together - yet.
You don’t have to push through anymore.
You feel in control of your own health, maybe for the first time.
You know what your body needs, and you know how to listen to it.
The brain fog has lifted enough that you feel sharp again. The anxiety that used to arrive without warning has quietened. You sleep, and when you wake you feel like the day is something you can happily embrace.
Your digestion is settled, your bloating has gone down, your weight is stable, and your body feels like yours again rather than something you are constantly negotiating with.
You have the energy for the things you have been putting off, not just the things you have to do.
The changes you have made are not a phase... they are your lifestyle now.
Imagine this…
And you know that what you are doing now will carry you well into the decades ahead.
You have not been failing at your health.
But you have been given the wrong tools for this particular season of your life.
Most approaches to midlife health work in isolation. One specialist for one symptom, one solution for one problem. It is not that they are wrong. It is that none of them is looking at the whole picture.
So the shoulder gets treated, and the sleep does not improve.
The supplements help for a while, and then they do not. You feel like you are constantly starting again.
Ayurveda looks at the whole picture.
It is a 5,000-year-old natural, whole-body medical system that starts by asking not what symptom you have, but what is producing it. It maps your body as one system and reads the pattern underneath all of your symptoms.
Shiranee brings traditional wisdom and modern insight to that process in equal measure.
When you find the root, you do not need several solutions.
You need one good plan made for you that changes how you feel from the inside.
This is for you if…
✔ You are in perimenopause or menopause and you know something is off.
✔ You have tried things. The GP, the supplements, maybe HRT. You are not someone who ignores their health.
✔ You are done with solutions that help a little but never quite get there.
✔ You want one approach that looks at all of it, not another specialist for another symptom.
✔ You want lasting change, not a temporary fix.
✔ And you are drawn to a natural approach, backed by thousands of years of ancient wisdom.
This is not for you if…
✗ You are looking for a quick fix that solves everything.
✗ You want someone to fix you without you having to change anything.
✗ You are not ready to look honestly at how you are eating, sleeping, or living.
✗ You want results yesterday, and are not interested in the deeper changes needed.
✗ You would rather manage your symptoms than get to the root of them.
If you recognise yourself…
Start by understanding what is actually going on.

Meet Shiranee
Shiranee Murugason is a Women's Hormonal Health Specialist and Ayurvedic Practitioner dedicated to helping midlife women finally get to the root of what is happening in their body and begin to feel like themselves again.
I did not come to this work because it was trending.
I came to it because the conventional system ran out of answers. I watched my husband cycle through specialists and medications for fifteen years, each one treating a symptom, none of them looking at the whole picture. It was a single visit to a clinic in Kerala that began to shift what years of conventional treatment had not.
I had spent years before that working in the NHS as a speech and language therapist with stroke patients, where evidence-based practice and patient safety were non-negotiable.
And I brought that same rigour to my Ayurvedic training, completing my Hatha Yoga training at the Sivananda Ashram in Madurai, South India, studying the tradition at its source.
With Sri Lankan Tamil heritage, I grew up around Ayurvedic principles long before I knew what they were called. The ancient wisdom and the clinical training are not two separate things in my work. They are one.

Midlife is not a decline.
Ayurveda has always known that.
Western medicine has no real framework for this stage of life beyond managing the symptoms as they appear.
Ayurveda does.
It has always understood midlife as a distinct and significant transition in a woman's body, a passage from one stage of life into another. In Ayurvedic tradition, this is the move toward the Wise Woman stage, a time of deepening self-knowledge, clarity, and authority. Not a decline, but a becoming.
That is why so many women find that the things they did in their thirties no longer work. Not because something has gone wrong, but because something has changed.
And what you need now is different from what you needed then.
The results that women experience when they finally work with their body rather than against it are remarkable. Symptoms that have been present for years begin to shift. Energy and clarity return. The body finds its way back to balance.
This is why I have dedicated my practice to this ancient, natural approach, and to the women who are ready to experience it.
So, What’s Next?
If Ayurveda or Shiranee’s approach resonates with you, the next step is simply a conversation.
A Clarity Call is a free, 15-minute conversation with Shiranee to talk through where you are right now and what your next step might look like.
There is nothing to prepare and no obligation to do anything afterwards.
Just a chance to ask your questions and get a sense of whether this is the right direction for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural medicine originating in India. The word translates from Sanskrit as "the science of life" -- and that describes its scope well. It isn't a single therapy or a supplement brand. It's a complete, whole-body approach to health that looks at how you eat, move, sleep, breathe, and live.
Where conventional medicine tends to treat symptoms one at a time, Ayurveda looks for the root cause connecting all of them. It works through the framework of three doshas -- Vata, Pitta, and Kapha -- which describe how your body and mind function. When life, stress, diet, or a transition like menopause pushes a dosha out of balance, symptoms follow. Restoring that balance is what Ayurvedic treatment is designed to do.
For midlife women especially, Ayurveda offers something most approaches don't: a framework that already accounts for this stage of life, the hormonal shifts it brings, and the cluster of symptoms that come with it -- without treating each one as a separate problem.
A good place to start is the Root Cause Consultation -- a 90-minute session that identifies your dosha imbalance and gives you a clear first step toward feeling better.

Yes -- and often in ways that conventional medicine doesn't reach. Furthermore it sees each person as an individual and treats them accordingly.
Perimenopause and menopause are recognised in Ayurveda as a natural transition, not a malfunction. This stage of life is called the Vata phase -- a shift in which the body's rhythms change, the endocrine system comes under pressure, and a wide range of symptoms can surface as a result.
Ayurveda addresses those symptoms by working on the root cause: restoring balance to the body's systems through personalised diet guidance, therapeutic massage, breathwork, movement, and daily lifestyle practices. Many women find that symptoms they've been managing separately for years -- poor sleep, brain fog, weight gain, anxiety -- are all connected. Treating the whole picture is where Ayurveda excels.
If you're ready to understand what's actually driving your symptoms, the Root Cause Consultation is the best place to begin.

HRT addresses declining hormones and works well for many women, particularly for acute symptoms like hot flushes and night sweats.
But it doesn't address the wider imbalances that drive symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, disrupted sleep, anxiety, or digestive changes. For many women, those symptoms persist even on HRT.
Conventional medicine also tends to treat symptoms individually. Each appointment addresses one complaint, one referral at a time. The full picture rarely gets seen together.
Ayurveda works from a different starting point. It looks at your whole system -- your constitution, your health history, your lifestyle -- and creates a personalised plan to restore balance from within.
The aim isn't to manage symptoms but to address the conditions that are causing them. For midlife women navigating a complex, interconnected set of changes, that distinction matters.
-
Ayurveda is particularly well-suited to the broader constellation of symptoms that accompany perimenopause and menopause -- including the ones that don't always get attributed to hormonal change.
These include:
Brain fog and short-term memory loss
Insomnia and disrupted sleep
Anxiety, low mood, and mood swings
Fatigue and low energy
Bloating and digestive discomfort
Weight gain, particularly around the middle
Dry or thinning skin & hair
Migraines and headaches
Frozen shoulder (more common in perimenopausal women than most people realise)
Stress and nervous system dysregulation
In Ayurvedic terms, many of these are Vata symptoms -- are signs that the body's regulatory systems are under strain. Some women also carry a Pitta pattern (heat, irritation, inflammation) or Kapha (fluid retention, heaviness, low energy).
If several of those symptoms sound familiar, the Root Cause Consultation is the clearest next step -- a 90-minute session that identifies your dosha imbalance and tells you exactly what your body needs.
-
For many women, Ayurveda is a natural alternative to HRT -- a way of supporting the body through perimenopause and menopause without hormonal intervention.
If that's what you're looking for, this is the perfect next step.
For women who are already on HRT or progressing that route, Ayurveda works well alongside it. If you're on HRT or taking medication for any other condition, Shiranee takes a full health history at the start of your consultation.
Diet and lifestyle guidance, therapeutic Ayurvedic massage, and breathwork are gentle and non-invasive, and suitable for most women already under medical care.
Either way, Ayurveda can address what HRT doesn't reach: digestion, sleep quality, stress resilience, energy levels, and that broader sense of feeling like yourself again.
